Simple GPS (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a GPS navigation and route-recording app. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

1. INFORMATION WE PROCESS

Location information

With your permission, Simple GPS accesses your device’s location while you use features such as viewing your position on the map, navigating a route, and recording a route.

Depending on your device and available signal, location information may include:

• Latitude and longitude
• Altitude
• Direction of travel and compass heading
• Location accuracy information

The App may continue to process location in the background while you are actively recording a route. iOS displays its standard background-location indicator when this occurs.

Your precise GPS location is processed on your device.

Route and map data

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Routes you import, record, or save
• GPX files, which may contain route coordinates, optional elevation data, and a route name
• An in-progress recording draft
• Downloaded or imported offline map packs
• App preferences, such as map provider, GPS accuracy settings, movement threshold, and screen-awake preference
